Registered dietitian of over 20 years Amy Skeoch will go through all of the myths, mysteries and misunderstandings around the topic of nutrition from a coach perspective. Join us for the facts about all of your hottest nutrition questions around topics like cultural and religious accommodations for athletes of different backgrounds, fad diets and intermittent fasting, veganism for young athletes, how you can help an athletes struggling with orthorexia, and so much more.
Speaker: Amy is a Registered Dietitian who believes eating well goes beyond focusing on foods to avoid. Instead she takes a positive evidence-based holistic approach to optimize health through the enjoyment of food. She is passionate about educating people about the positive impact eating well can have on all aspects of life in a realistic and simple way. Her areas of expertise include: eating well for busy families, heart healthy eating, chronic disease prevention and eating for activity. She looks forward to speaking to the CAO members, as both of her children participate in competitive sports – and she has seen how important it is for coaches to have a tool-kit of valid nutrition information available to them.
